The contract our client signed indicated that the legal forum would be Puerto Rico even though neither party resided or did business in Puerto Rico. Our office successfully researched and litigated, through Puerto Rican counsel, that despite the forum clause in the contract this would severely prejudice our client. The Puerto Rico court agreed and issued an 8-page Order granting our Motion to Dismiss based on venue. This was a huge win for our client as he was being sued for over $1 million dollars!
